Explore the Dale by train.

Explore the Dales between Leeming Bar and Leyburn, travel back in time to Scruton in Victorian times or do both. This service has three return trips between Leeming Bar and Leyburn, travelling via Bedale and Finghall Lane. Explore Bedale, the gateway to the Dales or Leyburn with its market square, shops, pubs and fantastic views across the Dale from “The Shawl”.

Alternatively travel from Leeming Bar to our award winning living history station at Scruton and see how a rural railway would have been in the early 1900’s. Take a stroll into the “Thankful’ Village” of Scruton and enjoy lunch or a pint in the local pub (open Wednesdays onwards at 12:00). Tickets are available for travel on all trains or just the Scruton shuttles.
