For one-day only, travel back in time onboard our visiting class 47 heritage diesel locomotive and blow those post-Christmas cobwebs away! Class 47, No. 47701 will be operating one-day of services between Leeming Bar and Leyburn on 28 December 2023. Trains will depart Leeming Bar for Leyburn at 10am, 12pm and 2:30pm.
All tickets are Rovers, so travel on any service from any station on the day.
Catering: our station cafes and shops will be open at Bedale and Leyburn, serving a selection of hot and cold refreshments. Unfortunately, there will be no café facilities at Leeming Bar station as it’s still set up for Polar Express and no on-train trolley services.
Car Parking: For customers travelling by car, please note that there is no car parking available at Leeming Bar Station or on the street outside. There is, however, parking available at the former Vale of Mowbray factory overflow carpark, situated immediately behind the factory site at Low Street, off Leases Road. Alternatively, you can board the trains at Bedale Station (DL8 1AW) where there is ample parking in the town.
Tickets, if booked online, will cost £20 for adults, £18 for seniors and £1 for children (under age 16). Booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
