Join us for 3 days of diesel action over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend!

Our Home Fleet Diesel Gala will take place on 24 to 26 May at Leeming Bar Station.
The proposed locomotive line up is:

Class 47 (47714)
Class 37 (37250)
Class 33 (33035)

This will be the first time that 47714 will be operating passenger services on our railway in its new RES livery!

We will be operating a special timetable over the 3-days, including Leeming Bar to Scruton shuttles.

If you fancy spending the whole day riding our trains, choose the all-day train rover ticket for £25. Normal return fares and single fares are also available. And don’t forget – children aged 3 to 15 travel for only £1 on our trains, so bring the whole family for a fun day out!

Catering will be available at Leeming Bar in the mk3 buffet car coach, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and sandwiches, along with a selection of souvenirs.

Food and drink will also be available at Bedale Station, and Leyburn Station’s tearoom will be serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and confectionery and of course Mandy’s world- famous cakes! Don’t forget to visit the station gift shop, with its wide selection of railway books, memorabilia, and gifts to choose from!

Getting There

Are you coming by train? Travel to Northallerton mainline station by train and then it’s just a short walk to board the bus to Leeming Bar. The journey takes 15-minutes, and the bus stop is only yards from Leeming Bar station entrance.

There is a regular No. 73 bus service from Northallerton on the Saturday and the No. 856 bus on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday
