Scruton station is our award winning recreation of how a small country station would have been in victorian times. On most running days it is staffed by volunteers in period costume who will guide you around the station and explain what rural life was like over 100 years ago.
On most days ‘Percy’s Tea Shop’ will be open selling hot and cold drinks, ice-creams and confectionary.
Getting Here
By Car
There is essentially no parking space at Scruton station and visitors are strongly advised to travel by train when visiting.
By Public Transport
The 54 service runs between Northallerton and Kirkby Fleetham, passing Scruton station.
Things To Do
For a small village there is quite a lot to see and do in Scruton. The visitors leaflet will guide you around.
There are a number of short walks centered on the village pub, The Coore Arms, these can give you an excuse for a dink or a meal or help burn some calories after your lunch !
