Happy New Year from everyone at Wensleydale Railway! We hope that you’ve had a great Christmas and New Year holiday.

The railway is now closed until the February half-term holiday. Stay tuned in 2025 as we will be expanding the number of Events services that we offer, including extra Wensleydale Fryer fish and chips trains and Afternoon Tea services and a few suprise new events.

The Model Railway Weekend and Industrial Weekend will both be back along with some additional events that are currently in the planning stage. Watch this space!

Timetables for 2025 and tickets will become available in mid to late January, with our Valentine’s Day Lunch & Mothers Day tickets available to buy now.

Please note that although no passenger trains will be running, we will be carrying out some major infrastructure work. This means that the railway line will still be in active use by engineering trains. There is never a good time to use the line as a footpath so please don’t be tempted to take shortcuts. Stick to marked public footpaths and crossings and do not trespass on the line.
