Wensleydale Railway is working very hard behind the scenes to return the line to working as soon as we are able. We have now completed an essential revamp of the crossing controls and lights at Ham Hall and now await its formal inspection and sign off to confirm it is safe to use. Once we have the required paperwork we are planning to resume timetabled passenger services between Bedale and Scruton on the 29th May. Tickets will be on sale through the website shortly, with numbers and boarding points limited to maintain Covid-19 compliance.
Follow our progress each month via our ‘Window on Wensleydale Railway’ videos, episode 2 below.
Please note, that the railway is still operational for works trains and MOD services to Redmire, and as such is still a live railway. Trespass on the track is not only dangerous but also a criminal offence. Please keep off the railway, for your own safety.
