Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado is back on the railway for its winter break, having a well deserved rest from the main line and some TLC from the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust. It will be at Leeming Bar for January and February, primarily in the shed, but may be seen out on the line while testing repairs and modifications.
Tornado will be hauling some service trains during 2 weekends in March (5th to 5th and 13th to 15th), including a repeat of its non-stop run from Northallerton to Redmire, and other special services including a Dales tour with a vintage bus, an afternoon tea service and a Gin & Rum Festival
