Even with the railway closed and our staff off site due to Coronavirus, our building contractor has arranged a safe method of working to allow them to progress the redevelopment of the main building.
Work on stripping the building has now been completed, and most of the roof has been replaced, with only a small portion now to complete, but delayed due to issues obtaiing slates. The focus of the effort has now moved to re-instatement of the beuildings key features, including the ticket office screen, the front office bay window and the portico roof, along with 101 other smaller tasks, such as central heating and the staff kitchen.
