Industrial Diesel Weekend

Industrial Weekend
Over the August Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 24th August to Monday 26th August) Leeming Bar Station will be hosting its first ever Industrial Diesel Weekend! The current proposed locomotive line up is:
- Class 03 (03144) ex MOD
- Class 14 (D9523) ex British Steel Corby
- Class 14 (D9513) ex NCB Ashington
- WL4 ex Tyne & Wear works loco (also worked on Channel Tunnel)
- Sentinel 0-6-0 ex Hope Cement Works, Derbyshire
Our Class 37 (37250) will also be running in its new EWS livery.
The event will feature double-headed class 14’s, brake van rides to Scruton, shunting for loco changes and engine shed tours.
We will be operating a special timetable over the 3-days, including Leeming Bar to Scruton shuttles.
All Scruton Shuttles will be Top & Tailed.
All locos are subject to availability. This event is not to be missed!
*Shark rides are for adults only and are charged at £5 for holders of event tickets.
Catering will be available at Leeming Bar in the MK3 Buffet, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks sandwiches and hot bacon and sausage rolls.
Arthurs Teashop at Leyburn will also be open serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and confectionery and of course Mandy’s world famous cakes !
The shop at Leyburn will also be open with a wide range of railway books, memorobilia and gifts on sale.
Services marked with sports_bar are planned to be serving local real ale.

Limited parking is available at Leeming Bar station, but the overflow carpark is only 5 minutes walk, use What Three Words code ‘///grows.raven.fetching’ if you need to find it.
Tickets
Tickets are available on line at £25 for an Adult Day Rover and £1 for a child Day Rover.
Holders of Adult Day Rover tickets can pay an extra £5 on the day for the shark rides.
On the day tickets will also be available at Leeming, Bedale and Leyburn
Real Ale
We will have 4 locally brewed Real Ales on sale on the services to Leyburn.
Falconer
Falconer is a light copper session bitter with a blend of delicious fruity malt flavours and subtle hop aromas leading to a very moreish finish.Alc. 4.1%

Semer water
Sema Water is a light, blonde easy drinking ale. Hopped with Cascade to infuse a balanced and delicate floral undertone. The lake hides a legendary sunken village; A hungry beggar was refused alms in all but one cottage and damned the village thus: ”Semer Water rise, Semer Water sink, and cover all save this lile house, that gave me meat and drink” Alc. 4.1% Vol

WL4 suffered a failure on the 13:30 service to Leyburn on Saturday Its nothing serious but its not going to be available on Sunday, so 37250 will be filling in for the services to Leyburn. Apologies if WL4 was top of your list, but these things happen

Getting There
There is a regular No. 73 bus service from Northallerton on the Saturday and the Wensleydale Flyer No. 856 bus runs on the Sunday and Monday.
