Focus today has been back with Wensley crossing where the track has been replaced and now the new road deck is being installed. This is requireing concrete shouldsers to be created as supports for the edge beams that will then support the deck panels. The position and level of these shoulders is critical in getting a smooth transition from road, across the rails and back to the road, so its a job that cant be rushed.

With the use of a special concrete mixing truck, the shoulders can be laid quickly and without the need of wheel barrows and back ache.

The costs of the panelling and concrete amount to over £13,000, its just the labour of the engineers from the Army thats free, so any donation to help pay for these upgrades is welcome.
