WensleyAle 2022 and Haunted Rail

Over the weekend of the 28th to 30th of October the railway will be hosting WensleyAle 2022 and Haunted Rail, 2 events not to be missed.

WensleyAle has moved from Redmire to Leeming and from May to October, but beyond that it’s just the same. Local ales, cider and Gin combined with live music and street food.

We kick off on Friday night with a Volunteer’s and Local’s prize quiz. Saturday sees the ale festival get going with the bar open from noon with a great selection of local ales. Live music in the afternoon along with pumpkin carving, bar closes at 9pm. Sunday sees the bar open again at noon, with a family quiz in the afternoon, and raffle draw.

Entry to the festival is free for train ticket holders with beer tokens, glass and festival program available on the day. A raffle will be held with the first prize being a family trip on Polar Express !

As it’s Halloween on the Saturday our trains to Scruton will be not only heritage but also haunted !

Come join us at Wensleydale Railway for a spooky time at our Haunted Stations. Our Heritage Line between Leeming Bar & Scruton will be open and filled with spooky activities and entertainment for all the family. See a different side of the Wensleydale line !  Wear your spookiest costumes and prepare for a day of fun!
